Connection and Installation

Note: Pictures will be included at a later time as annotations are…not possible to include with the upload. Or at least if they are, I don’t know how to.



PlayStation 4

  1. Plug your PlayStation 4 into a power socket
  2. Connect an HDMI Cable from your PlayStation 4 to an HDMI Port on your Monitor/TV
  3. Plug in the Controller Charging Cable to one of the USB ports on the front of your PlayStation 4
  4. Plug the other end into your DualShock 4 Controller
  5. Press the PlayStation button on your DS
  6. The PlayStation 4 will now turn itself on
  7. If playing a physical (disc) copy of a game then insert it via the disc slot
  8. The game undergoes short installation sequence before ready to play
  9. It installs the rest of the game in the background
  10. Downloading a game from the PlayStation Network operates in the same way
  11. It downloads a section of the game to play and the rest in the background


PlayStation 4 + PS Vita

  1. Start your PlayStation 4
  2. Go to Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings
  3. Check the “Enable Remote Play” box
  4. Go to Settings > PSN/Account Management > Activate as your primary PS4 > Activate
  5. Make sure your PlayStation 4 and PS Vita are connected to the same WiFi network
  6. Go to PS Vita Connection Settings on your PlayStation 4 and check Enable Remote Play and Connect Directly With PS Vita
  7. Start your PS Vita
  8. Open PS4 Link > Start and choose Remote Play
  9. Enter the 8 digit code on your PlayStation 4’s display
  10. Let the devices connect and sync



  1. Plug the power cable into your PC and a power socket
  2. Plug a Display Cable (HDMI, VGA, DVI etc) into your PC and a monitor/TV
  3. Plug a USB Keyboard & Mouse into your PC
  4. If required, plug an Ethernet Cable into your PC and into a Router/PowerPlug etc
  5. Your PC will now turn on, the monitor/TV will display images and you are ready to play a game.
  6. If you want to install a physical (disc) game then insert the disc into your disc drive
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation
  8. If you want to install a Steam game them start up Steam and go to the Library tab
  9. Scroll down the menu and select the game you wish to install, left-click on the game then click Install
  10. Follow the instructions and wait for the download to finish
  11. Use a wired connection because you’re not a peasant
  12. If you want to use Origin  then use startup Origin and go to the My Games tab
  13. Select the game you wish to install and Right Click then click Download
  14. Follow the instructions and wait for the download to finish


  1. If you have an AMD Card then click the Windows Start icon (that flag thing in the bottom-left) and in the search bar type Catalyst Control Center and click on the application executable when found
  2. Click on Information > Software Update > Check For Updates Now
  3. Follow any onscreen instructions
  4. If you have an NVIDIA Card then repeat Step 1 but type GeForce Experience
  5. Go to the Drivers tab and click on Check for Updates
  6. Follow any onscreen instructions
  7. Don’t use Device Manager (accessed via the Control Panel) as it doesn’t always work and sometimes manages to install the wrong drivers.
